# Theme Installation

After you download the Travel Ocean theme from [wordpress.org,](https://wordpress.org/themes/travel-ocean/) you can choose either of the approaches given below to install your theme.

*(Note: To use **Travel Ocean**, the theme **Ocean WP **must be installed to as **Travel Ocean **is a child theme of **Ocean WP**)*

## From your admin dashboard

1. Download the Travel Ocean theme from the WordPress theme directory
2. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
3. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
4. Select **Add New**.
5. Then select **Upload Theme.**
6. Click **Browse** Locate **travel-ocean.zip** Theme on your computer.
7. Select **travel-ocean.zip** and click **Install Now.  OR**

## Upload and install theme through FTP client

You can use FTP client like FileZilla to connect your web server.

1. Download the Travel Ocean theme from the WordPress theme directory
2. Unzip **travel-ocean.zip** to your Desktop.
3. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, go to **/wp-content/themes/** and upload your new copy of Travel Ocean Theme.
4. Now, log into the WordPress Dashboard with your login details.
5. Select the **Appearance** panel, then **Themes**.
6. You will see the theme in the list.
7. Then click **Activate** button.
8. Now the theme will be activated and go through the following options to set up the theme step-wise.

## Search from your admin dashboard

1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
3. You will see the search section beside Add New section. 
4. You can search the Travel Ocean theme as shown in the screenshot below and install it.
